This mountain-dwelling enjoys a unique scenery and wide vision on the South Road Village in Mogan Mountain, Zhejiang Province. As the original plot is highly narrow, the architects from SU Architects wanted to create as many spatial orders as possible in the relatively small space. There have been obtained three courtyards by splitting the original site.

The main two elements that compose the site are the houses and the yards. Therefore, the architect desired to reconstruct these elements to explore the new state of architecture's inner world and the natural landscape's external world.

The original building was built in the 70s and is a mixed structure of brick and wood. The owners considered rebuilding the old interior decoration as the structure of the building has been tilted.

The small space in the southern part of the house is also the main entrance in the house that has views to the terrace and the yard.

The three elements that remind of the former house are the structure, the main yard and the ten-meter tall pine next to the terrace.

Even if the functions of the new site have changed, the architects still consider the presence of an interrelationship of these three elements.

The original site of the outdoor platform has been divided into three parts: the mountain garden, the bamboo garden and the pine garden scattered and interspersed around the house.
